Still chugging along! Still very amused at the whole premise--but it's very interesting! I do so enjoy hearing "rogue", "scientific" opinions, even if they don't stand up to scrutiny. I think the real educational piece would be taking the stuff that I haven't heard of before (some of the archeological sites mentioned, for example) and researching them from an established science perspective.

I just want to note that I am honestly not sure how this got on my library wishlist! I'm sure I had a good reason for adding it, and I'm giving it a go for amusement -- much like my soft spot for Ancient Aliens. I have to admit I'm really enjoying the tone/writing of the book so far, so it's an enjoyable read, at least!

I'm a little hesitant to see how the Sally Hemings/Jefferson "relationship" is framed.

This is a long book. Completely interesting and worth it, though!

Man. This is just not capturing my attention. Guessing on completion. Just got to the part in the first book where the young girl is turned vampire and... :-/ I'll come back to it eventually.
