Like many other self-help books, this book contains repetitions, though not so many to be annoying yet.

A Study in Scarlet is a thoroughly enjoyable and highly accessible read that caters to my lazy brain, which does not want at all to try solving the crime. I would like to read the two short stories A Case of Identity and The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle soon, as well as The Sign of Four sometime in the future.

The writing is surprisingly easy to understand. So far, I enjoy this more than Agatha Christie’s book, which I found somehow a bit dull.

The first chapter of A Study in Scarlet is easier and more fun to read than I expected.
