Heisenberg goes back to a familiar well to tell the story of quantum physics: Newton, Einstein, double-slits, etc., but the difference firstly is that he is speaking of peers pouring into the well all the new knowledge. Secondly, Werner draws deeper from this well, relating to the Ancient Greek atomists like Democritus and Plato whose long chains of logic got to someplace similar, yet unimperical, as modern sciences.
