As I said with the last chapter, he is succinct but thorough. He gives all the necessary information without the word vomit that most other similar texts provide. He systematically destroys postmodernism. I love how the chapters flow and build together to form a clear picture. This book does more than answer “big questions” but helps build a worldview with their answers.

This chapter is how we know Jesus actually died and rose again. Deals with the fact that Jesus was actually dead. The faulty excise of the soldiers. The unlikeliness of theft. Hallucinations are a weak solution. The women’s testimony. Collects a good number of evidences without being overbearing. He is succinct and thorough. Ends with why this matters.

A most fascinating chapter, this one of the evidence for the existence of Jesus. I would have liked to hear more quotes, but I know that is not the point of this book and there are whole books devoted to this subject. I learned much in this chapter.

Gets right to the point about Dinos and dragons. He even brings up how the ice age fits in. Addresses unfossilized Dino bones. He includes dragon legends and sightings! Great and interesting chapter. Great introduction on the subject. But now we are onto the important question: was Jesus a real person and was He the Son of God?

Explains the basics on the arguments for the existence of God. Room in margins for notes. Perfect for a study. Addresses scripture’s literal account of creation in Genesis. Doesn’t over complicate things. Others have gone into necessary detail. He gives you the foundation, the springboard. Clear, concise, accurate.

Gets straight to the facts. Doesn’t over elaborate but clearly describes. Encourages further research at AIG. Doesn’t get into the nitty gritty details. Just states the facts as they are necessary. Great explanation of micro and macro evolution.
Each chapter could open a whole class of discussion with brief topics mentioned within.

Some formatting quirks that bug me, but they are not worth dwelling on.
The writing is smooth. It is engaging at many reading levels. It’s clearly marketed towards teens, but I am enjoying it greatly. One of the best chapters on explaining a worldview I have ever read. First two chapters are a great foundation for starting a discussion on apologetics.

Intro asked the right question.
Chapt. 1 defines terms, quotes scripture, lays out book in clear and straightforward manner. Pulls out key points for easy reference. Goes through what apologetics is, why it’s important, how it’s up to God to save, and the difficulties with sharing the faith. Solid so far!

Wow... briefer versions of the last two chapters would have made a much better introduction. Confused archaeopteryx and archaeoraptor. Still so disjointed. Finally found the thesis on page 350. Does not fit the title.

Most of this chapter, to me at least, seems useless. He also seems to be questioning the usefulness of the masoretic text.

Very fascinating chapter. I’m glad I stuck it out this long. But he still writes in what seems to be a disorderly way. I think he could have grouped subjects better. I also wish he would go in deeper on the accounts from ancient people. I think he also speculated on some very sketchy (for lack of a better word) things that should be taken with a grain of salt. But over all, a chapter I would likely read again.

This is one of the better chapters. I think he did a decent job on the effects evolutionary thinking has had on our cultures and various fields of study. I think he is a little on the positive side in regards to what the vast majority believe in the subject. Or at least what is true today. I think most are beguiled by evolution, and not a few of those are professing Christians.

Information overload. He presents a lot of neat info, but it’s all disjointed. Like this chapter was about plants, and objectively that is what I read on. But there were SO MANY SMALL SECTIONS with SO MANY VARIED TOPICS. I felt like I was tossed a new idea every 8 sentences. And he never expounds on anything! Also, who are the ancients and old ones? Why don’t you talk about the myths? Why does nothing connect?
