I LOVE the fact that Mickey took for payment a briefcase from a client that has a secret compartment to hide drugs.

Like, do you people realize how much I love Mickey Haller. Like..love him. Like, book husband level love him. He's not quite there yet, only because I don't know if Dresden, Trenton, and John Taylor can handle another guy in the mix.

I love that Haller and Bosch are slowly forming a relationship.

I really hope they bring Mickey into the Bosch show. I want to watch the two of them (and yes, recast Mickey). And then Amazon needs to give Mickey his own show.

UGH!!!!! I need one Bosch book from the library before I can continue catching up on Bosch. This is pissing me off and screwing up my March reading.

I'm honestly not quite sure how far into the book I am since I'm listening to it from CDs instead of audible. I'm kind of liking Terry, but I do miss the fast pace of Bosch.

I feel like I should have less to go in the audio since there's 90 minutes left.

The more and I more I listen, the lower the rating will be. I really want to know what the fuck Ballard was shooting up when he wrote this.

The book is as weird as the movie and from what I remember of the movie, they didn't completely stray away from the book.

I updated my book list for my bullet journal (it won't be printed until the end of April, so a lot of books will most likely be ticked off anyway) and it went from being 2 pages to being 4....fuck.

The movie was ridiculous and I loved it, so I hope the book is the same. And it's being read by Tom Hiddleston. I swear, his voice is pure sex.

And I'm done with his book. Rachel is too femnazi for my tastes. She's also a lying little twat and I have no time for that shit. I'm tried of these I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR characters....even if this is from the mid-90s. The book was great until her introduction.

It's really sad when the librarian starts pulling my books before I'm even at the desk.

I'm really enjoying this book so far. While it's the same beats as Bosch and Mickey, the tone is different. It's not as claustrophobic as Haller and Bosch are. Jack doesn't have all the access baggage as the other two and he's not doing his job just to hide from his demons.

The only two Connelly series I'm familiar with are Bosch and Mickey. I know nothing about Jack and his world and where it even takes place. I hope it's as good as the other two series.

I have one more Connelly book before I have to take a break until the next one comes in the library. It's literally the only one I'm missing so I may actually skip it for now and go back to it when it comes in. Or, I may listen to one of the others on my list. Haven't decided yet.

At this point, I might as well finish it.

PISSED OFF BOSCH IS MY FAVORITE BOSCH! omg, I wish they had waited to do Bosch's mother's case until the new season. I would have LOVED to watch this whole story explode like it is in the book.
Plus, I really want to see pissed off beyond belief Titus Welliver.

Can I stay up until midnight to get this one finished? Possibly.

It's really hard listening to these books without imagining Titus Welliver's glorious ass.

NGL, it's kind of creepy knowing Harry is dating the woman of the fallen cop who wasn't actually killed by a drug dealer but turned out to be a drug dealer and was killed by Bosch.
And they both know Bosch killed him and that the dude burried in the casket isn't actually the cop and the widow is still drawing widow benefits.

EDGAR, WHAT THE SHIT?
I wonder if they're going to leave out his betrayal in the show.

Bosch's lawyer needs to get kicked in the fucking nads.
