"In some countries nearly everyone believes in astrology and precognition, including government leaders."

Yup. Science is taught, but not how to think scientifically. When I hear we are going to put emphasis on science in our education, I wonder how many future leader will it churn out who won't be dictated by pseudoscience.

An entire scene in Bhutan? Alright, you got me. I will read on but there better only be good things in store for Dorji and Jigme.

Can't remember the last time I was this giddy with anticipation. Apart from the the occasional hiccups with the prose interrupting my flow, it's been tiptop so far.

Thank you for pointing out the arrogance inherent in humanism. The space terrorists protecting Ganymede sea rat in Cowboy Bebop had good reasons. Given this realisation I should say sorry to you animals but that would make me a hypocrite, because I am still human, biased towards humanism and I would still want to eat you. So, yeah. But I promise that if planet of the apes ever happened, I will not stand in your way.

It is lechery and no doubt loneliness, but seeking and walking into trouble knowing full well the repercussions, it feels fatalistic and defeatist. Self loathing?
