The protagonist's inner thoughts are far too numerous, verbose and uninteresting for taking up the majority of the writing.

Not much has happened so far and we're almost half way through.

Fourth time I've tried reading this. Having watched the series makes it much easier as I have an idea who two dozen people are that are thrown at you, and i know I'll be interested in the story later on even if it's terribly dry at the start.

...hopefully this book series ends(?) better than the television one.
