I was so bored I set this book aside and have forgotten it but I will finish it...I must finish it...something must happen at the end. I refuse to believe it's this pointless!

Why the hell couldn't they stay at home and mind their pots and pans and stick to their frocks and gossip and leave men's work to the men...The silly bitch." Oh, wow. And I thought Bond wasn't bitter until after Vesper's death - looks like the movies got that one wrong!

Aside from the part where the heroine's shriek damages the changeling hero's ears so bad he's taken out of commission for a while even though he was fine after being shot at repeatedly, the first story, Whisper of Sin, was pretty good. Thankfully this occurred right near the end so I could just push on through and pretend it didn't happen. Maybe he wore earplugs for the gunfight? :)
