A Great Hunt indeed

Always nice starting the sequel to a first book in a series, like putting on a comfortable pair of pants.
Let the hunt for the horn of Valere march onward!

So far it’s pretty close to a 5/5. Brian has serious talent and skill as a writer

Awesome and epic so far. I can already tell Brian is a great craftsmen of storytelling

One of the best reads of the year so far, and this is the authors Debut! Impressive

Starts with the young life of Gauis Cesaer and Marcus, highlights nicely how rough and brutal things were back then in a digestible narrative style

Could argue it has been a slow burn, but the storyline is so good that it’s been a great character development book, it plays on a classic almost “Frankenstein”-esque theme with a twist. Will definitely continue with the series eventually

Very original, I’ve been enjoying this book. Kinda a historical fantasy

A little slow but good character and world development, which is probably why it’s felt a little slow, but also intriguing

Graphic but good

Eerily reminiscent of current circumstances within the world. Can’t go wrong with Ben Bova’s writing style though, there is a reason he wrote so many books - easily digestible, but very easy to connect to the characters and always on point with the Hard Science (HSci-Fi)
