J. J. (now on BookWyrm) is on page 14 of 480 of Ready Player One (Ready Player One, #1)
Went to library and grabbed this and Henrietta Lacks, but had a tough time deciding which to start first. Cline's novel is very good, but I'll go with Lacks for bus reading.

Friday takes off for another planet. I spent a good 30 minutes just imagining what it would be like to go 1800 times the speed of light. http://flic.kr/p/apLhar

I should probably put this on the shelf and get back to Year of Living Biblically. Maybe I'll get back to it soon; definitely very interesting.

I haphazardly picked this up off the shelf at work on a day that I had forgotten The Year of Living Biblically - but I've been enjoying it!

J. J. (now on BookWyrm) is on page 102 of 276 of Open: Love, Sex, and Life in an Open Marriage
Most people do want something new and different, but the question is whether they can be honest about it, instead of repressing their urges or cheating. When I thought about Clayton and Samantha's relationship... It's not about sex; it's about honesty. And what could be healthier than that? They were living proof that even the happiest and most sexually satisfied couples aren't immune to outside desires.

J. J. (now on BookWyrm) is on page 86 of 276 of Open: Love, Sex, and Life in an Open Marriage
I vacillitated between three ways of thinking about my marriage: 1) This was "just the way it was," and I should deal with it; 2) I had married the wrong person; and 3) I had married the right person, but I could stay with him only if I could also have the freedom to be with other people.

I was twenty-five years old, and it was time to move on to a serious, committed relationship. It was time to be a grownup and settle down. All of this experimenting and sleeping around was kid stuff, I told myself. It had nothing to do with who I was. It was a phase. And it was over.

Man, these last 70 pages, the section on Element Science Today and Tomorrow, are dense! My brain hurts... but I'm still loving the read.

I'm curious how my monogamous friends would react to this book. I've read reviews that say it's written condescendingly, but maybe I'm missing that aspect since I already consider myself an ethical slut?
