I’m not quite sure on how I feel about the book currently. Some part of me is bored, but another part of me is invested in the main character. I hope things will pick up soon

Don't love this book, but I don't hate it. I still stand by my statement that this book is hard to read due to its writing style. I find that I have to read over several sentences over quite a number of times to actually figure out to what the author was referring to. I also think that the relationship between Etta and Nicholas wasn't that strong. It seemed that the author threw their relationship together...

I know that I'm only 54 pages in, but I already find it very hard to read. I'm not sure whether it's the writing styles of Bracken or just me, but I find myself struggling to understand several paragraphs or sentences simply because of the way it's written. So far, I'm not super impressed, but I'm sure, that opinion will quickly dissipate once I get further into the book!
