Still unsure what to make of this

The first one wasn't a hit with me, but I do like the writing style and wanna finish the trilogy.

How many more books will I start before finishing Cloud Atlas? Only God knows.

This one, however... It's the first 10 pages and I am in love... Can't put my finger on what exactly I like so much, but damn, I love it. I think it's the writing style, has to be.
