This is a dense read, characterized more by middle 20th-century French intellectualism than by what most might consider the "usual" character of Zen literature. Sometimes I feel like I get some (somewhat vague) insight from reading between these lines. I don't not-recommend it, but I don't think I would freely suggest it to anyone interested in the crossroads between western psychology and Zen philosophy.
