Definitely one to read as an audiobook - I think some of the language and writing style makes a lot more sense when you hear it spoken in the northern Irish accent

I'm skomming through this as it's too longwinded

Skeptical about the quality about this book. A protagonist who's getting married to a man she doesn't really love (but doesn't know it), an overbearing future MIL, a romantic historian, plenty of time at work to not be working, a best friend who's fashionable and popular and smart AND knows loads about period art/fashion, a family tragedy that has shaped her, very annoying character flaws.. Urgh

Giving this another chance with the audio version. Still pretty boring and not easy to follow

I dislike useless, troublesome teenage protagonists
