Really enjoying so far, though it’s clear that the author’s relationship with the characters is evolving as the series progresses.

A *lot* of vocab at the start, and some confusing shifts in perspectives serve to disorient the reader--which may well be the intent.

Really enjoying this world and the characters within it! The pacing in this novel was definitely a bit hit or miss, and there were two points where I cringed at how a classic trope was really awkwardly handled. That aside, I enjoyed this book enough to read again when the next novel comes out!
