First book of 2022. A creepy tale of toxic patriarchy.

This book is feeding my soul. Loved description of spirituality and sexuality as fluid concepts we’ve tried to fit into narrow glasses. “Maybe our understanding of sexuality can become as fluid as sexuality itself. We can remember that no matter how inconvenient it is for us to allow people to emerge from their glasses and flow, it’s worth it. Our willingness to be confused, open, and kind will save lives.”

This book is like a women’s studies class! I get riled up each chapter about the data injustice, which is why I’m enjoying the audio version of this a chapter at a time.

Also buying copies of this book for my city council rep and other leaders to consider as they make institutional decisions!

I'm on the the struggle bus with this book and the stream of conciousness ramblings , do I power through?

Seems an appropriate book to start after the March for Science on Earth day. I am shamed to say I haven't read this before, I think I missed it changing high schools in the middle, but excited to read now!

From teenage friends to middle age couples, Meg Wolitzer captures the story of friendship through the mundane and extraordinary trials of life. Set primarily in New York City from the 1960s to today, this book had me aching to return to the city that never sleep.
