some of what i have been reading and watching this year has (unintentionally on my part) placed me smack dab into 2020 again. "Year of Wonders," "The Leftovers," and this novel. i was very, very, very much like this protagonist that year. i did not expect this at all to fall in the bucket of COVID Stories for me, but here we are!
