I've not read Nicholas Sparks' books in years; I'm not sure what his current writing style is like. But this book is depressing! I remember Sparks' books being great love stories. This one is a very long telling of a marriage's demise.

Didn't realize this novel was written in the form of letters, rather than a narrative. Oops! So not my preferred style.
