A truly thought provoking and eye opening book to have a deeper look at white migrants risk their lives to make their perilous journey to America in the hopes of a better life, willing to leave “everything” behind to escape the far reaching, life-threatening cartels in Mexico.

There are chapters hat are good but many I dislike. It’s mostly a book about reviewing other books & shows which touch on feminist ideas and how they were good but could have done better. Great for people who know these books and shows.

So far I’m not overly thrilled about these essays about different aspects of her life. A whole chapter on joining a scrabble club and the drama was not that exciting to read about.

A great book so far, providing lots of encouragement to never loose faith in accomplishing a goal that seems and feels too big and too late to make a difference!

Lorelei is finished with White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism
Starting to realize the few friends of color I had growing up. I always had one or two here and there and lately I have realized how white my circle of friends has become. And I’m realizing that perhaps I lost something of value by not having more friends of color in my life! Will be rectifying this now!

Lorelei is finished with White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism
This book has been very enlightening so far and is already challenging my racial beliefs. I realize now that saying “I don’t see race, I see the person” as a way of saying I am NOT racist actually denies and undermines the harsh realities of people of color and the struggles they go through in a white dominated world, thus holding racism in place.

This book should be MANDATORY for every American to read, to learn how to have a political conversations without trying to win the battle against the other side. It’s about learning to step into the shoes of others and trying to understand why and how they might feel about a topic to broaden your thinking about highly charged political issues, without loosing your mind!
