I love Suzanne Enoch, but of the books I've read, this is probably my least favorite so far. I'm not a big fan of "I don't know if I like him, but I want to screw his brains out..." books. This book just seems kind of forced, so far.

I love this series. As a big Nick fan in Kenyon's Dark Hunter series, I find Nick's adolescence and some of the interactions y'just wonder about as you read the DH series completely fascinating. As a result, I've begun re-reading the DH series, just to appreciate the back story. And while Chronicles of Nick is YA, it's even enthralling this mpthpfmf year old, too. :)

The beginning is a little depressing. I'm finally at the point she's leaving Lowood. I hope it's more upbeat now.

Already, the characters are quite endearing. And it's jsut starting to get juicy!
