Not my favorite Bond story. I was already a third of the way through before 007 even showed up. The story by itself seems contrived (even for a James Bond novel) and not very well executed. Everything felt rushed, as though fleming suddenly realized how much needless time he spent on the SMERSH exposition. Just overall dull.

among the zillions of Superman and Captain America (and various knockoffs) floating around, it's refreshing to find a superhero series that revolves around the actual responsibilities and consequences of being a superhero. Very well written (Robert Kirkman, the same brains behind "The Walking Dead." with honest, flawed, realisitic characters, this is a coming of age story like no other.

It was alright, but not brilliant. It lacked the bite its predecessors carried and, while admittedly set in Lovecraft's phantasmagoric universe, it seemed to rely on "suspension of disbelief" a lot more than it really needed to. Hopefully, this is meant to be a bridge to Book 4 because, standing on it's own merits, it's the weakest of the series.

absolutely fantastic. Admittedly, I wish I had read Gods of Gotham first, but I think it a credit to the author's abilities that I knew nothing about the character's backgrounds or relationships and still managed to he enthralled with the story. An incredible tour de force worthy of standinh alongside the likes of Laurie R. King, Gyllian Flynn, and Tana French.

Alright, so we've reached the point in time where Lawrence and his army have taken Aqaba and how General Allenby wants to utilize them to completely knock the Turks out of the war....then Korda suddenly abandons his narrative of the Arab Revolt to discuss Lawrence's childhood and Oxford studies. Strange...
