Old and long in the tooth, so utterly out of sync with so much we know know - and yet, a great adventure. Rowdy storytelling, great and truly imaginative alien beasts, fun. Characters and tone out of a Sunday afternoon Western, far horizons an ditto quests of a Norse saga (but without the gloom).
A great hour or so of fun, and a must-read for anyone looking for the origins of SF.
