I think I'm gonna call this one quits. It's an enjoyable book, but not really something you read consistently. It's just bothering me to have it still on my Currently Reading shelve when I'm DNFing it. I will definitely be starting it up again next year, probably when Spooky Season rolls around again.

My enjoyment of this book is dwindling. It seems like everyone is just one big cliche. And 60% in and a major plot point (that was revealed IN THE SYNOPSIS) still hasn't happened.

Raven Nivhaar is 50% done with Cold Summer

It's not a bad book, but I don't know if it's just the format I'm reading it in (ebook) or not, but there are some grammatical and spelling errors that I have noticed, as well as what I believe to be continuity. Like at first mentioning that Kale travels to 1945, then proceeding to refer to that time as 1944.
There is also quite a bit of PTSD representation, though I cannot speak to whether or not it's GOOD rep.

This is very interestingly written, however I don't know if it's just the format I'm reading it in or what, but there are odd phrasings and sentences sprinkled throughout that I'm not sure if they are meant to be there or not considering the voice of the characters..
Also, is this supposed to be a string of consciousness type book? I don't believe I've ever read one of them before, so I'm unsure lol
