Lmaaaaao I’m going to have to dnf this soon. She’s so convinced on this label she gave herself when she was 7 that when the DSM doesn’t match her diagnosis nor does any research - she decides the research is wrong not her self diagnosis she decided on at SEVEN.

POV white woman self diagnoses at the age of 7 after speaking to a prison guard and then uses her own personality traits to inform her study on what a sociopath is. While romanticizing prison because at least there she could be with other sociopaths who understand her.

This isn’t a bad book, but having just read another Carley Fortune book it felt like Deja vu. I would love to see Fortune’s next book step out of her formula. No lake, no dead maternal figure who never settled down, and no flashbacks to 10 years ago.
