The attempt to include every possible myth and history the author could in this novel instead of just sticking to the one is annoying as hell. I can’t get into the story when every second I’m thinking “that didn’t happen” “they aren’t related” “wtf why are we suddenly in the Trojan war”.

The length of these chapters is a crime.

I’m shocked at how much I’m loving this book honestly, I love this little sarcastic villain coming in to fuck shit up in this story.

I haven’t read an opening that pulled me in like this in a long, long time. Let’s goooooooo.
