That’s my fave chapter so far

Okay, I’m starting to like the friendship between the Diviners. I still don’t love the writing style, but it’s growing on me

What I liked: when she smoked weed and checked out shirtless Rory
What I disliked: vague, pseudo-Medieval prophecies with no context. And the multiple accounts of vomiting

One chapter in and I’ve got some thoughts:

1) I dislike that this is written in first person
2) I don’t like the writing - it’s trying to sound old english-y but also uses terms like “totally” that make the vibe distorted
3) similar to Cruel is the Light, I hate when Catholicism and fantasy worlds mix

This might be a speed read kind of book for me, fam 😬
