Knowing that we will attempt to tell the truth, whatever the circumstances, leaves us with little to prepare for. We can simply be ourselves.

And many of us will be unable to get safely into our beds tonight without having told several lies over the course of the day.

To lie is to intentionally mislead others when they expect honest communication.

Three basic qualities of human that have been always with us are natural intelligence, natural warmth, and natural openness.

Working on ourselves and becoming more conscious about our own minds and emotions may be the only way for us to find solutions that address the welfare of all beings and the survival of the earth itself.

Do we have any clarity about how our own words and actions may be causing suffering? And even if we do recognize that we’re making a mess of things, do we have a clue about how to stop?

Moment by moment we can choose to go toward further clarity and happiness or toward confusion and pain.

Design principles are the guiding light for any solution.

- Minimize the pain: completing forms should be as simple and easy as possible.
- Illuminate a path to completion: make it abundantly clear how people can accomplish that goal.
- Ensure constant communication: forms need to speak.

Design pattern, on the other hand, is actual solutions to the problem in context.

Focus groups are best used in the planning stages of the project. Usability test on the other hand, should be used through the entire process.
