Sooo much talking….

Almost 200 pages just to address the ending of the second book followed by dense dialogue setting up the rest of this book. Here’s hoping all that talking was worth it …

Hmm. The middle portion of this collection was pretty poor. Ur and That Little Green God of Agony were the only two that I enjoyed. The rest were a mix of less than engaging to outright poor.

Great first story; poor second one; okay third one; solid fourth; and predictable fifth.

Three stars so far.

Loved the helpful recap of book one at the start of this one. No way I was remembering what happened from 9 or so years ago …

Started so well, but it’s beginning to get very, very repetitive. Long way to go, so I hope it settles down and builds up a few more characters beyond the two mains and puts them in the one place to battle the undead.

In a massive reading slump at the moment. Here's hoping something from Edward Lorn call pull me out of it ...
