Yet another one where my hopes were set too high. While this one wasn't exactly what I'd hoped, this was a fantastic trilogy overall. I absolutely loved listening to the audiobooks. (3.5 stars)

This was my first book by Viola Grace and her writing style is a bit different. At times the dialogue felt a bit robotic, but I like the world and characters she's created so I'll continue to read on.

Mrs. Jones, how you slay me. Wow! So much happened in this one. But, the end ... the painful ending was soothed a tiny bit by Reyes' POV epilogue. Thanks for that! And, THREE books in 2016? I don't want to get my hopes up, but yes, please!

Well, thank goodness I have book 3 on-hand. Benefits of getting to this series late. :) I'm really enjoying these audiobooks. The narration is done so well. And, the author's writing paints such a vivid picture.
