I actually lien a lot of Carl Sagan’s stuff. But thank good he seems to be getting past the UFO and Atlantis nonsense of the book. I get that I could substitute anti-vax or flat-earthers in place of ufo believers but half your book has been pointing out how silly UFO believers are.

This bridge scene is straight up dumb

I don’t get the love this books gets. Maybe it was more important in the 90s when the X-Files was on the air. But I always viewed that at entertainment and not fact. Sure there were loonies and still are loonies they believe in alien abductions etc, but Sagan railing against those beliefs are not going to change anyone’s minds. Again, he’s preaching to the choir here.

It’s nicely written but it feels like Sagan is preaching to the choir. I doubt he changed a single person’s mind with this book

Unless something disastrous happens, 5 stars. Easy
