You know how sometimes you listen to someone talk about a book you've both read and you're like, "Huh? WTF were you reading? How did you come up with that?!" Yeah, there's a lot of that going on here.

So far, we've gotten as far as fairy/folk tales. The Professor seems to be big fan of Freudian analysis, to the point where many of his conclusions are a bit of a stretch. That says more about the interpreter than it does about the material being interpreted, I think.
