The language is almost intentionally hard to understand. So much misinformation about Pike, about Freemasonry stems from this book and Cherry picking passages from it. Although this is the book is almost exclusively associated with Scottish Rite SMJ, I found Bro Pike’s book, Eaoterika superior in its observations on the Craft.

I’m down the rabbit hole! The Final Empire was great! Looking forward to Book 2!

I did the job for nineteen years. Let’s see how many of the same stories we have.

Ok. I get it now. I can see why people love this book. If the rest of the series is this good I can see myself going down the rabbit hole.

So far this book is very cinematic. It feels like it’s setting something up, it’s fast paced but at the same time it feels like it’s a peek through a doorway into a very big world. I’m liking this very much and plan on finishing it this week!

I’m late to the Sanderson party and wanted to see what the hype is about.

This is my first Sanderson book. I’ve been told this is a good gateway into his world.
