I don’t have that much left of the book and I’m just unsure how ALL of the maybe plots are going to tie up and feel completely fulfilled…so we’ll see! This also says a paranormal romance… and I’m wondering when that part is going to pop in & it’s scaring me. I swear if it ends up being a similar thing to “Pen Pal” I’ll freak out.

Okay I need to check in so that I don’t lose my thoughts for later. Do I LOVE THIS BOOK? Yes. Is Lowe a new book boyfriend? YES! But, Is the plot kind of lost on me… also yes.

We have a lost friend we’re searching for sometimes… a new step daughter that may or may not be targeted by some assassins bc she’s a cross of 3 species… and a virgin FMC who is completely unaware of her Alpha’s longing for her.

😮‍💨😮‍💨🔥 It’s a struggle over here trying to keep it clean and together while reading this. The scene I just read….🥵 I want more. And nothing really happened except for some touching and licking that was meant not for love but for protection…🤤

Beginning was kind of confusing… the flashback/throwback to before the ceremony/ threw me off. But, I’m good now and I’m intrigued. It’s giving mystery vibes…also kind of getting flashbacks to CC HOEAB only bc of the whole dynamic between Bryce & Danika…so not sure how I feel about that but I am VERY interested in Mr. Moreland… he sounds delicious. 🤗😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Cute so far! I don’t want to say it’s slow going because it feel is like a slow burn and I lovvvvee a good slow burn.
I really love Russ, his shyness and vulnerability. & Auroras bubbly and kind of crazy personality is so funny! She overshares and chooses not so good ways to cope with her issues… I’ve never identified with a character more! So far, loving it!

Starting my buddy read today of A Court of Thorns and Roses (reread) in prep for CC3! I am so excited!

Stopping at 37%. I loved the Cat and Mouse duet which is why I went back to read this because I love Sibel so much in that series. But I just can’t get through this. The imaginary, creature sex scenes are not for me.

I'm not the type to give up on a book even if I'm still not sold on it 150 pages in. If there's anything I know it's that a book can surprise you when you least expect it. Even if I get to the end and it wasn't a fave there's always something that can be taken from a book. Even if it was just a way to pass the time.

Waiting for books #2 & #3 of the Shade series by Jerri Smith-Ready to arrive at my house! Any day now!! I am dying here.
