Today marks my transition from a "teen who reads books for teens" to an "adult who reads books for young adults." Weird.

The most ironic part about me winning a copy of this book through Goodreads is that I still haven't read The Kite Runner yet. Oh well.

Tremendous writing in this one.

Every Jodi Picoult novel should come with a disclaimer: Warning, may cause uncontrollable tears to erupt from your eyes that never stop flowing.

Disappointed with this one so far... hype, don't let me down!

Sometimes the hardest struggle in my life is forcing myself to put down a great book. The reason doesn't matter - homework, family, a litany of responsibilities - they are all the same, a barrier blocking me from characters I've come to love.

This is a great book.

Maybe it's because of my six-hour sleep schedule lately, but the characters in this book and Death of a Salesman make me want to slap someone. I never say anything mean about people in real life, so perhaps I release my inner frustration through fictional characters... hm.

My AP Lit teacher is making me pause this one right in the middle. I hope this won't hinder my overall enjoyment of the book when I get back to it. -_-

Sometimes I think my average rating is too high. Then I realize that I'm being silly, because Goodreads has helped me find such great books to read. Hopefully it (my average rating) will get to a 4 one day. :)

I should be doing my homework, but... has anyone else noticed that the cover of COLS looks like the cover of the trashy romance novel in the "Call Me Maybe" music video? Hm.

I feel the need to announce five things.

1. I kind of love Cassandra Clare.

2. But I love Alec more.

3. I don't really like giving hugs in real life. I want to give Alec a hug so badly right now it hurts.

4. I also love Magnus.

5. But I love Alec more.

I don't know if Picoult made Cara so unlikable on purpose, but she's quickly climbing the mountain of my aggravation.

Not exactly sure why I'm reading this one... perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment.

Reading about the elderly suffering = ensured tears.

Reading this one for my school's book club. Haven't read a YA book in a long time, let's see how this one goes...

Chapters 14 and 15 of GOP - marvelous. Simply marvelous. I've fallen behind on my reading but after taking the SAT on the 10th I will catch up!

If this book even comes close to the excellence that is East of Eden, I will be a happy, happy camper.

A John Green book I'm actually liking! My heart hurts, but hey, it's worth it.
