This book is SO good so far. The premise is extremely interesting and very well written. I am noticing some racial interjects with the CDC plot which seem unnecessary, but provided it either results in something meaningful, or they stop, it’s not going to ruin anything for me.

Kind of dumb lol. But it’s so short and such a breezy read I don’t mind

This book is about 100 pages longer than it needs to be. If I wasn’t so curious about the resolution of the antagonists identity, I would probably be compelled to DNF. It’s probably not 2 stars bad, but the MC is unlikeable, the dialog grating and story line dragging.

Sitting firmly at a 3 stars. The WR codes are dastardly cringe. The MC is unlikeable. But the mystery is good. I’m still guessing at the truth and how it will end. I like the villain. He’s still very creepy to me. He borders on cringe too, but I think it’s ok for a villain.

Feels bizarrely selfish to force your father to hear your confession.

Also did my pet peeve!!! Withholding critical information that does not logically make sense to do for the sake of plot development. The worst!!!

So far so good. Main character definitely feels like a woman written by a man. Don’t really like the cutting in between past and present. But these are minor gripes

Losing steam on this book. I am not particularly impressed or compelled by the story line. I am unimpressed by his scary vision, it didn’t scare me. The MCs narrating voice is getting a little grating. And I fear it is veering into plot induced idiocy territory with him continuing to use the app

I like it so far! There is some millennial cringe to the voice of the narrator, but it feels true to the character not necessarily the writer. It reads pretty easy and the story is quite compelling. I feel right now that this will be a 4 star book

Her active withholding of crucial information from the police and the people in her life is exhausting.

I’m far enough and there is at least enough compelling me to finish the book. But the MC’s constant waffling between fear and nonsensical doubt anything bad will happen for the sake of furthering the plot is exhausting. How many bad decisions can one person make?

At first I thought the writing voice was just bad. Middle grade choices in words (think “feet clomping” and “drink gluggling”) but an interesting enough premise. But now the actual plot points are frustrating- issues that could easily be solved with even just slightly more straightforward communication, and better decision making. Still planning to finish reading it though.

Really well written. The plot has been set up very nicely, paced well. Characters are developing well, and I already feel attached to them.
