It’s a hard slog to switch between characters in each chapter.
Story takes place in Haiti in the 1700´s amidst the French Revolution.

There have been many books written about Anne Frank. It is almost a cottage industry. The book describes the process détectives followed to discover who revealed the location where Anne Frank and family were hiding. I have a new appreciation for the lives of people in the Netherlands during WWII

Different from many books I’ve read. Topic is information technology but with a human twist. Written in 2009. It’s 2025 now.. 16 years later. It might have been science fiction at the time. Or not?

It’s a cross between a blog and a memoirs . She has some interesting observations about her life and the life of others. A family tree would be a useful addition to chapter 1.

Not liking it. Graphic descriptions of child abuse too much for me.

The story mostly unfolds through conversations over drinks in pubs. Everyone is very angry and sarcastic.

Loved it. Great story telling.

This is a textbook example of how NOT to write a novel. Switching between different stories is impossible to follow.
