Still got a little more than 140 pages to go. But this is a delight to read.

This book is longer than indicated here. 312 pages. So I’m only a third of the way through. But this is pure Americana as only Len Jenkin can capture it. Quirky, down and dirty and awfully funny.

I think this is a new edition because the book is longer but the pages are small and squat. It would fit in my back pocket if it weren’t so thick. Green Integer seems like an interesting publisher. Lots of wild titles.

Touches of a San Francisco I have known since I arrived. The beach, the Sunset, the Mission. And then long walk over the Golden Gate Bridge. What a world this man is making. So familiar.

My kind of lit. Plain brown paper bag feelings. Words cut out of someone’s old love letters.
