I think I totally read a different book last time! But jokes aside, it’s such a masterpiece, packed with legends and mysteries and subplots within subplots within subplots.

It begins so dark and yet so intriguing!

Day 3! 😶‍🌫️

OMG this book is so frustratingly slow! You know what's gonna happen, you know how it's gonna happen, and it's very simple but the story takes a lot of unnecessary and insignificant turns and goes into so much unnecessary details on random stuff that you forget what was going to happen at all!

Started reading from the beginning one more time. Still not sure if I can follow! 🤯

I have absolutely no f*cking idea what the f*ck is going on!

Finally making some progress with the detective’s tale again. Farcasting to Old Earth?! You’ve got to be kidding me!

Really enjoying the book so far!

Liking it so far. Not sure yet why they say this is Brandon’s weakest novel.

I feel like I’m reading another book in the Bobiverse, especially being narrated by Ray Porter in the same manner, only that it’s the other way around; Bobiverse reads a lot like The Martian and Project Hail Mary. I honestly had high hopes for Andy Weir, given his immense popularity. But no! It’s the same shallow story about one genius man who is saving the world, alone in his exotic lab.

Ah the Starks! I don’t know if I didn’t know Cersei and the Lannisters I’d have been surprised about what happens or not, but I feel like it was pretty obvious from very early on what’s gonna happen to the Starks, especially Lord Eddard! It kind of reminds me of Dune, where you know there is traitor, and you know who it is, and you know Duke Leto is a goner, but still it’s not like they could do better!

It’s fun, sometimes makes you thoughtful. But otherwise good to listen to the audiobook when you can’t do anything.
