hrmng interesting introduction but obviously six pages in it's very difficult to tell how the book will go. Ollie is such a high school student.

They just keep ending up dying and somehow Dulcinea (thankfully) still persists, even if it won't be for long, probably. Teacher was not a casualty I was expecting and I really enjoyed the emotional catharsis of the scene between Gideon and Harrow in chapter 31.

Finally at the end of act 3 and we reveal what *could* be killing most of the would be lyctors. The terrible teens were fun and I'll be sad to see them absent. Something something sweet dreams.

For one moment I was incredibly distraut that Dulcinea was the next on the chopping block. My fears are not quit allayed but I am glad to see she still lives. For now.

Finished act 2 and I have to say Magnus noooooo D:

Gideon and Harrow are finally together in that they are within a ten ish meter proximity. Was fun seeing Gideon do some fighting of bone monstrosities and the ensuing collapse of her dear necromancer.

The fight was interesting and to be honest I'm glad so far they don't languish overlong and get done with quite quickly. We'll see whether that stays that way. I otherwise like that we've seen more displays of personality of the other cavaliers.

Just reached the end of act one and we're introduced to a bunch of characters all at once. Septimus is interesting and tragic but quirky, like all the characters seem to be so I'm interested to see what she's gonna be like in the future.

Ooohkay I'm really in it now. The dynamic between Gideon and Harrowhark is very fun and I like how they're kind of both The Worst.

Chapter one is an interesting introduction to Gideon and the Ninth House. The titular main character is very funny so far although her circumstances could be described as tragic or unfortunate. The vibes of the Ninth House is very interesting so far it's got a gothic feel.

Reached the end of chapter 11 and you know what? Ew. Otherwise I have a fear that one of our intrepid trio is going to perish and I really hope not. I like the gang that surrounds rose. I do still think that the chapters could be shorter or splut into two though. On the final stretch now!!

I love the orcs and their design they're just funny little guys to me.

I love Saul. He's such a nice character and I love how Rose and his personality bounce off each other like a well-oiled machine. Also, glad to finally know the mystery woman's name--Willow.

First: I'm glad I picked up two volumes of Delicious in Dungeon rather than just the one. It was good advice. Second: Golems are cute and I love that they're just vaguely blob shaped. Third: Somehow even steamed cabbage looks delicious...

Can't say I wasn't expecting this up to a certain point but I also can't say I'm not disappointed about it. At Rose's parents, that is, not in the writing or the direction of the story.

Not much thought, just good to have suspicions finally confirmed with regards to the demons. Something something, weaponised homophobia something.

End of chapter four is very funny, although the poor giant bat. All of this, however, is undercut by the fact that I really want an omelette now...

I love love love how Rose's parents are framed as benevolent but with an edge. Nice but only under conditions. The rot in them is but an inkling of the rot within all of the town... or something I could articulare better at a more sane time of night.

I genuinely adore this little romp through dungeon food and how Laios is so... passionate about it all. Marcille continues to be a delight for separate reasons. It's so fun seeing how all the food comes out at the end of the chapter and I'm frankly upset I can't try them.

The end of chapter three was incredibly unexpected and I'm living for it. Glad we finally get to meet the mystery woman in Rose's memories(?). No answers presented yet, just uncertainty (affectionate).

Just reached chapter three and I'm liking it so far. I wasn't sold until the end of chapter one at which point I was like, yeah, this is gonna be interesting. Rose as a POV character is fun in the way she goes off on information tengents so I'm lookong foeward to what more she brings to the story.
