Two things - I was surprised to read about Yardley, PA - I used to visit friends there. Oh, but it almost lost me with a character named "Lay Zee" who, guess what? is lazy presumably since he never hands in any homework.

Although this was written in 1921, the racial slurs were still a surprise.
