I’ve actually finished the book already and I must say it grew on me. I wasn’t too much of a fan at first but as the pages turned I got hooked. I read the whole last 80 pages or so today and it was nice. It got me to write some more which I’m grateful for and it was definitely great to get an insight into the civil war and it was an interesting concept ofc. Anyway a nice way to end the year. On to the next one

It’s taken a while to get here but the book is decent. It wasn’t too hard to comprehend at the start but I just don’t know. It’s defo interesting and all but idk how helpful it is for my writing you feel. Anyway it will probs get better. I’m up to the 3rd moon now so will see. Plot probs gonna get spicy. I’ve actually finished the book already. It really got better in the end. Definitely a chilling book that was pretty interesting. Very short but showed a life nonetheless. Cormac McCarthy is still the goat and yeah imma go write some more now. See ya

I don’t know this book is pretty out there. Pretty random in the sense that the chapters are so short but also just random plot I feel. Like no way this book is 35+thousand words. I hope my book doesn’t feel so pointless and empty. Like how has all my writing and all the little anecdotes of my writing only been like 60% of this whole book. Anyway I’ll still read it. I’m finished. Kinda feels like finally but also it was a really nice read. Just a story told well with good plot dialogue and thought behind it. Lincoln highways shows how easy writing a book can be in a way. All you really need is a good plot, likable characters and a head on your shoulders and you’ll be grand. Thank you Emmett, Billy, Duchess and Wooly, you’ll be remembered

For a book that is called The Lincoln Highway there hasn’t been much about it. I mean of course it’s come up and is a pretty big focal point but they haven’t even started the drive yet and I’m already half way through it. Not to say that this book is still amazing and I love it so much but is just interesting to see. Love every character. See you on the other side

I actually already finished. This book was a roller coaster man. You hated the characters and then felt for them and the. Loved them. It was really well written and was honestly just a thriller in a book. I get why people say it was book of the year, very easy to read and yeah just well written. I cried at the end of it so that says something. On to the next one. Defo a good read.

Look I defo am just starting with the book and I must admit the writing is pretty good like I can envision the scenes very easily. Now to the less good. It is way too graphic I feel. Like I get the whole revenge thing but damn I don’t gotta know how he smashes some innocent guys head in. Like yeah homie was in the gang but he didn’t deserve that. Anyway imma keep reading it and let’s see what happens….

I’m actually finished with the book already. I finally finished it today. It was honestly a really good read. Makes you think and that’s amazing. I honestly see myself so much in Cyrus. I was kinda hating at first but then I took a step back and saw: oh shit I’m trying to be like him, writing a book and all. Anyways was an amazing book. Well done Kaveh Akbar

Look martyr is definitely a decent book so far and I’m sure it gets better (Wesley said so) but so far it’s just been decent. Defo going to keep reading it though and the topic is very interesting I guess but now that I’m writing I think I look at books a lot more objectively. Anyway still big ups to whoever even finishes a book. So good on him and keep at it!

It’s a decent book. I mean it’s basically a bunch of short stories which I’m expecting will intertwine eventually. The writing is decent but I guess I just had hella expectations because it did win the booker prize. Anyway I think it’s starting to get interesting now. Imma finish MY book now boy. See ya

I’ve already finished you feel. I haven’t done one of these in a while man. It was a good book not gonna lie. Maybe not a 5 star but very close. Very enjoyable to read. Very easy to read as well. I’m kinda annoyed how he undid all of his work at the end but at the same time I like how it ended (even though I think it would have been cooler if homie brought Sadie to nowadays). Anyway still a very good book.

This book is a nice relaxing read. Something I can pick up and read without having to try too hard. I feel like the reason Stephen king is so successful is because his writing is hella easy to imagine and just fun to read. I’m intrigued to see how it unravels. Still got a lot to read 😁

I’ve actually finished. It’s taken a while but I’ve finished and I texted papa to see what the ending meant. Because papa gave me this book it has been really special for me. Like I’m holding a piece of him. I love that guy so much. Banging book and I’ve learnt a lot from it.

It’s been pretty confusing but also really good. Like a few passages are just crazy nice. I’ve also had a few nice talks with papa about it so that’s amazing. I need to read more!!

I’ve Finished!! Damn I mean I knew this day was coming but damn is it sad. I don’t know it’s going to take me a while to pick up a book again I can tell you that much. This trilogy was honestly life changing. So I’m depth so beautiful, so heartfelt. The ending was so well written I could almost feel the reverberations of the earth beneath me. May Essun,Schaffa,Nassun and ofc Hoa live in me forever!!

Im nearly done. The book is very good which is expected. I think the addition of Hoa‘s childhood/how he became a stone eater is interesting. I’m very excited for the ending and possible plot twist. It’s a shame that Schaffa died but RIP. Hoa is such a g and it really goes into and talks about existential topics a lot because stone eaters are immortal. It’s been quite thought provoking. Got to savour it!!

Im actually finished with the book. It defo was an in between book. Like everything is going to go down in the next book (I mean ofc but still). I think this book showed me how thought through and thorough this trilogy is. It isn’t too mind boggoling fantasy but still really fun to read. I’m going to cry when the trilogy is over. Here we go: THE STONE SKY!

The book is really good. It is a great follower to the fifth season. I think the main idea of this book with the moon and well obelisk gate is really cool. I’m interested to see how Syenite/Essun changes throughout and ofc if Alabaster survives. Love the book so far

So I’m actually done with the book. It kinda took me a while to read but it was actually pretty good. It took some time to get used to but like every book I feel, I’m sad that it’s over. This book is kinda the reason why I started writing. I think the author is really cool and I honestly would like to meet her. I’m so glad there are two more books in the series for me to read. I thought this book wasn’t anything special at first. It was honestly quite confusing with all of the new terms you have to learn. The writing however is very detailed and thorough. Now that I know what the premise of the book is I can very clearly imagine it and it is a superb book so far. I can’t really explain where I am up to in the book because there are so many different stories in it but it’s really good

At night after I was ready to go to bed. I could read for an hour with no worries. I loved that. Just reading and chilling. I loved my time in hamburg. I’m going to miss it. Good book

It’s been good. It’s just a chill story. Nothing crazy just some I retesting scenes and decent writing. I’ve liked it. I’ve been able to get into it and have enjoyed it.

The book is getting really good. It jumped back and forth at the start which was a bit confusing but now it is just talking about the POW camp on the LINE. The descriptions have been really good. I gotta now just read more 🤙

It’s been a bit of a slow start but the book did keep jumping back and forth which was a bit annoying but now the story is really beginning and it’s gonna be a good one I can tell.

Why did he make it all about the sex at the end and why not make it have a nice proper ending with midori. Like bruhh. I don’t want to hear about how this dude came inside someone for the 1 millionth time. Well anyway it was still good but not life altering. Just a good read that I would probably read again. Nice

It’s really good. Loudie said that it was a bit mysoginistic and I kinda get it. It kinda feeds into this thing that women are hella horny. I don’t really know how to explain it but it is still a good book and I’ve enjoyed reading it. As you can probably see I’m nearly done already 🥶
