I finished Call of the Wild. Such a great story. I really really enjoyed it. I took a great comfort in reading the book and by damn I really want a dog now. Beautifully written like actually crazy and so entertaining whilst also being quite a short book. I loved loved loved it. Now comes WHITE FANG!

This book is aight. It reminds me a bit of the secret history. Same kinda university vibe I guess. I’ve really been getting into it recently and with holidays coming up imma finish it soon I think. It has helped me to write as well which is great. See ya

This book sounds very simple and boring like life I guess. But it also shows how fascinating and complex even the most simple lives can be. It started quite slowly and I wasn’t reading much but now I am hooked. I’ve been racing through the pages and I’m interested to see what happens next. Very good writing. See ya

Ive actually finished this book. I do think it defo has some very good points about spirituality and death and how enlightening it can all be. But I must say the ending with god, a little so so. I just feel like a lot of it is the same stuff but just said with different words. Like with being present and open. They had so many different examples of the same thing. Anyway still a good book. On to the next one!

I think this book has a few really good points. Breathing and relaxing when difficult times arise and being more present and enjoying life more because of it. But I also don’t agree with all of it. Which I’ve had a difficult time doing because you get a book and think I need to agree with everything. But I don’t. Letting go even when a loved one dies is a little crazy. I was kinda annoyed when I found out that this book wasn’t a novel but boy was I wrong. I am really really enjoying this book. I was gonna say love and maybe it is but either way I’m really enjoying it. I’ve felt calmer and more present because of it. Excited to keep reading. See ya

I have come to realize that this book is quite profound. We were talking about it last night over dinner and I think, finishing it today, I realized that it is actually about how women are neglected. How a woman can be seen as insane just because no one is willing to talk to her about her problems. Not once did she talk about her dreams. Quite sad actually. On to the untethered soul. See ya

I don’t really know what to think about this book. It seems pretty random and dystopian kinda. Idk how to describe it. Just feels like nothing has really happened. Anyway supposedly the ending is good so let’s keep it going. Untethered souls after this. Exciting!!

Im actually done. Hey this book was decent no doubt. I liked the story but it did feel pretty repetitive. I did read it pretty quickly so maybe it was good writing idk. Anyway I just didn’t like the characters all that much. The main guy seemed like a dick and the master was just clueless. Maybe I’m being hyper critical because it one the booker prize but anyway it was decent. On to the next book. See ya

This book is a really easy read and that is a compliment most definitely. Like the idea of the narrator writing a letter is very smart and immersive. It also helps with chapter making (the nights and days of when he writes). Anyway it seems like not much has happened but a lot has ofc. Anyway I’m going to finish it soon so see you then! Can’t believe Broken Earth trilogy was 9 months ago. CRAZY!!

I’ve actually finished the book already and I must say it grew on me. I wasn’t too much of a fan at first but as the pages turned I got hooked. I read the whole last 80 pages or so today and it was nice. It got me to write some more which I’m grateful for and it was definitely great to get an insight into the civil war and it was an interesting concept ofc. Anyway a nice way to end the year. I don’t know this book is pretty out there. Pretty random in the sense that the chapters are so short but also just random plot I feel. Like no way this book is 35+thousand words. I hope my book doesn’t feel so pointless and empty. Like how has all my writing and all the little anecdotes of my writing only been like 60% of this whole book. Anyway I’ll still read it. I’m finished. Kinda feels like finally but also it was a really nice read. Just a story told well with good plot dialogue and thought behind it. Lincoln highways shows how easy writing a book can be in a way. All you really need is a good plot, likable characters and a head on your shoulders and you’ll be grand. For a book that is called The Lincoln Highway there hasn’t been much about it. I mean of course it’s come up and is a pretty big focal point but they haven’t even started the drive yet and I’m already half way through it. Not to say that this book is still amazing and I love it so much but is just interesting to see. Love every character. See you on the other side

I actually already finished. This book was a roller coaster man. You hated the characters and then felt for them and the. Loved them. It was really well written and was honestly just a thriller in a book. I get why people say it was book of the year, very easy to read and yeah just well written. I cried at the end of it so that says something. On to the next one. Defo a good read.

Look I defo am just starting with the book and I must admit the writing is pretty good like I can envision the scenes very easily. Now to the less good. It is way too graphic I feel. Like I get the whole revenge thing but damn I don’t gotta know how he smashes some innocent guys head in. Like yeah homie was in the gang but he didn’t deserve that. I’m actually finished with the book already. I finally finished it today. It was honestly a really good read. Makes you think and that’s amazing. I honestly see myself so much in Cyrus. I was kinda hating at first but then I took a step back and saw: oh shit I’m trying to be like him, writing a book and all. Anyways was an amazing book. Well done Kaveh Akbar

Look martyr is definitely a decent book so far and I’m sure it gets better (Wesley said so) but so far it’s just been decent. Defo going to keep reading it though and the topic is very interesting I guess but now that I’m writing I think I look at books a lot more objectively. Anyway still big ups to whoever even finishes a book. So good on him and keep at it!

I’ve already finished you feel. I haven’t done one of these in a while man. It was a good book not gonna lie. Maybe not a 5 star but very close. Very enjoyable to read. Very easy to read as well. I’m kinda annoyed how he undid all of his work at the end but at the same time I like how it ended (even though I think it would have been cooler if homie brought Sadie to nowadays). Anyway still a very good book.

This book is a nice relaxing read. Something I can pick up and read without having to try too hard. I feel like the reason Stephen king is so successful is because his writing is hella easy to imagine and just fun to read. I’m intrigued to see how it unravels. Still got a lot to read 😁

I’ve actually finished. It’s taken a while but I’ve finished and I texted papa to see what the ending meant. Because papa gave me this book it has been really special for me. Like I’m holding a piece of him. I love that guy so much. Banging book and I’ve learnt a lot from it.

It’s been pretty confusing but also really good. Like a few passages are just crazy nice. I’ve also had a few nice talks with papa about it so that’s amazing. I need to read more!!

I’ve Finished!! Damn I mean I knew this day was coming but damn is it sad. I don’t know it’s going to take me a while to pick up a book again I can tell you that much. This trilogy was honestly life changing. So I’m depth so beautiful, so heartfelt. The ending was so well written I could almost feel the reverberations of the earth beneath me. May Essun,Schaffa,Nassun and ofc Hoa live in me forever!!
