It’s insane how crazy good this book is. Definitely top 15 reads of the year.

The Bast Festival is the place to be! All the characters are lining up perfectly. I’m not getting GOT vibes this is just a good political scheming read with a lot of moving parts.

I'm not even done the prologue and I know this is going to be a 5 star read. Ancient Egypt is such a weakness for me in books, and takes me back to my time learning from an Egyptologist. But it needs to be done right. I know many will talk about 'What the River Knows' but I have a gut feeling that 'His Face Is The Sun' is going to be a triumph.

Had an ick moment, moved past it, it returned and now I can't move past it. Shall we move on?

Imagine one of the bands on Vampire Diaries and focus only on the band. What if they reunited? That's the premise of this book and I'm loving it.

Ultimately this a story about survival.

The moment that I feared happened.

I can’t get over the ominous and unsettling feeling. I just know something bad will happen and I’m bracing for it.
