I can't believe no one has rated it!

Huge plus: I enjoyed the last battle (the huge chapter as well as a few after that) way more than I anticipated. After most of the book dragging by not always savoury means to get to the chapter, the POV jumping action was actually really alright. It tried to portray the various players that decided the course of the Battle; emphasis on try. Good effort, I would say, despite dissatisfaction with a few things here and

Sparce in a satisfying way.

There's enough intro for people who come to it without a group theory background but not so much to bore those who do.

It does a good job of getting to the point without compensating clarity about the steps in between.

So far I would've enjoyed it much more if there hadn't been such great emphasis on Kya being penniless and ostracized. It's alright for the story to be motivated/ instigated by this, but these days I don't enjoy stories that are based only around misery. I really hope the book starts introducing more into Kya's story soon, because there are a few solid ideas I would like to see developed.
