A little past middle of the book I was trying to be open minded when reading how Maddy decides to break free and see the world by running away from home without her mom knowing and lying and manipulating Olly to join her for 2 days in Hawaii. But the way she ignores her mom until Olly pleads with her to talk to her and then after she almost dies. She begins treating Olly so cruelly!

I'm currently reading this book based on a review from a BookTuber. Getting into it I had to set my mind as though I was reading this as an 18 year old to appeal to me.
Maddy our main protagonist has is living her life on a happy routine where the only 2 people she interacts with are her mother and Nurse Carla. Until her new neighbours move in next door and the family's oldest Olly swoops in and changes her life.
