There’s a lot of repetition of dialogue now unfortunately

Wait. I thought this was supposed to take place in the US? Why is she drinking at a restaurant at 17. That’s very illegal in the US. Are we now in the UK? I know the author is from there, I’m quite lost at this point. There are a lot of small plot holes that’s making it increasingly difficult to focus on the book itself.
