Knot Like Other Girls

Rate this book
Not like other girls? Not exactly a compliment.

Especially not when it comes from people who base your entire identity and value on being the first omega born into a family of betas.

I’m my family’s golden ticket. Nothing more.

That means I’m expected to marry Braxley Worthington III, a social media star and trust fund brat who is everything I can’t stand about a privileged alphahole.

But when someone takes a shot at Braxley during his very public marriage proposal to me—a proposal I don't even have time to respond to—Pack Vanguard moves into the penthouse.

Roman, the pack leader, sees straight through my carefully constructed walls.

Troy's playful teddy bear charm makes me smile when I thought I'd forgotten how.

Liam teaches me how to protect myself and reminds me I'm worth fighting for.

Savva's elegant sophistication awakens parts of me I never knew existed.

And Cole's quiet intensity sets me on fire, even though he's convinced he's unworthy because of his scars.

These five alphas are nothing like I expected. Instead of trying to control me, they’re doing everything in their power to keep me safe without making me feel like my gilded cage is closing in around me.

But when everything falls apart at the seams, I have to decide between the loveless engagement my family expects and the connection I never thought possible.

Do I break free and risk everything for five alphas who make me feel truly seen?

---

Knot Like Other Girls is the third book in the Claimverse OV and a standalone like all other books in this series. The FMC gets her HEA with all five MMCs in Pack Vanguard. Please check the inside cover for details on the themes in this book.

This was a "wasted potential"

I was excited when this book dropped in my ARC recommendation because I have read a couple of Harper Lennox books and liked/loved them.
However, this one failed the mark BIG TIME.

It is not easy to write a RH romance because aside from giving each MMC their own personality and trait, the author needs to establish a connection between all the MMCs and the MMCs with the main love interest - in this case the FMC omega.
and almost every single time I can pinpoint who is the author's favorite from the way the focus is drawn to that certain character.

This book should have been called "Cole's therapy". It was so glaringly obvious that Cole - the scarred, tormented alpha- is the author's darling. everything revolved around him, from the pack tending to his presence to Belle's immediate mothering feelings to her giving him all her firsts.
He gets so much book time that the others fade in the background....so what was the point of having FIVE ALPHAs?????

We do get the POVs of each of the main characters, however, there were so many internal monologues that the plot became non-existence.

60% of the book was given to domestic stuff, cooking, eating, shopping....why?

To be fair, I liked the beginning best. It was interesting and really hooked me. I thought this would be a perfect thriller paranormal romance, such a waste of potential with that rushed ending.

now let's talk technical
the word "breath" appeared 216 times throughout the book
the characters were either holding their breath or releasing it!
Three times "I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding" was used to the extent I wished the characters would just suffer from suffocation.

such dissappointment

I get that because OmegaVerse or Reverse Harem books are niche & there aren’t that many authors that we’re really lenient with our reviews but come the fuck on. This is some ChatGPT nonsense. Nothing happened in this book. This was however many pages of absolute nonsense, no plot movement, no character development, no interesting writing or interesting characters. Nothing about this book was unique, nothing about it was special and it was an absolute WASTE of time.
And again Id but so much money down that ChatGPT for some such was involved because the amount of paragraphs I read suffered through that were just reiterations of each other in different words was so painful. It so blatantly lacked any human care in the writing.

3 ⭐️ This one had potential! I loved the dynamic between the FMC and the MMCs, their chemistry gave me all the good vibes. But honestly? Not much really happened. I kept waiting for the drama to ramp up but it either didn’t show or fizzled out too quickly. Still a decent read, just needed a bit more oomph to keep me hooked.

Can we all agree in 2025 that this title is not the vibe we as women should be striving for? I won't read it so I can't speak to the content, but I find it problematic. Let's stop comparing and start uniting.

DNF

Book started to sound weird so I ran it through an AO checker, elements of AI were detected in 60%-80% of the writing from each passage that I ran through a checker.

Bella (h) was raised to be the perfect omega, composed, compliant, and convenient. Engaged to a wealthy influencer, Braxley, and used as a bargaining chip to save her family’s finances, she’s spent her life playing a part. But everything changes the night a sniper takes a shot at her fiancé and exposes just how fragile the world around her really is.

The Vanguard Pack, five ex-military alphas with scars, secrets, and no patience for fake smiles, are hired as protection, for what they expect to be an easy job guarding a socialite. Roman, Cole, Savva, Troy, and Liam arrive with zero interest in coddling anyone, but the moment they meet Bella, everything shifts. Each alpha is hit with the unmistakable pull of a scent match, something none of them expect, and something Bella herself doesn’t yet understand. What begins as a professional assignment quickly becomes personal as the pack watches Braxley treat Bella like property, while she slowly starts to come alive around them.

Built on emotional healing, mutual respect, and raw connection, their relationship balances vulnerability with power. Found family takes center stage. So does consent, safety, and letting go of who the world said to be. With each alpha, the leader, the protector, the caregiver, the tactician, the fighter, Bella finds not rescue, but partnership. Each relationship brings something different, and every alpha feels fully formed and deeply human. Love the way that Bella develops relationships with each of the alphas, but especially Cole and his carved wooden duck.

As danger closes in and the circumstances around Bella’s engagement unravel, her bond with the pack deepens as she finds her inner strength to claim what she wants and to be claimed by her five alpha mates. One by one, the alphas show her what it means to be wanted for who she is, not what she can offer. Through heat, heartbreak, and healing, Bella stops surviving and starts choosing. And she chooses them.

A steamy, RH omegaverse romance, exploring love, connection, identity, found family, emotional recovery, healing, belonging, transformation, trauma, and choosing one another. Loved the intense emotional arcs to laugh-out-loud banter and a bond-claiming scene under the northern lights that somehow manages to be both hot and healing.

I don’t like giving anything below a 3, because honestly, indie authors have it rough. But at the same time, this book was so disappointing. 😔 I’m not angry. I’m disappointed lol.

I read the other two, and liked them. I wasn’t annoyed like some reviewers were about some of the tropes. I dig the OV genre and read a ton, so always happy to have something new to read.

But dammit - this was not RH. At all. And even the story with Cole became repetitive. If anything, this book was barely even focused on the FMC, everything was just about Cole.

Saava had such potential as a character, and we don’t learn a single thing another Roman.

The pack leader.

Nothing.

We never learn how all the men even met up - considering they aren’t all from the same country.

And the assassination attempt? Gets maybe a few minutes.

Also, anyone else super curious about the shooter - who was so nice to Bella?

I will say, one thing I liked was there weren’t 101🌶️
scenes. I like a plot with my mate trope, and sometimes this genre is just 3/4 🍆. So that I actually enjoyed 🙃

Knot Like Other girls

As others me tinned, this book did focus more on Cole and Bella's relationship, but I think that's bc of the trauma in Cole's past. And she did not stay in a relationship with Braxley the whole book. That relationship ends around 42 or 43 % they just keep it secret at his request. Bella does move out for two weeks until the dreaded Gala and spends that with her pack. I'm glad she finally stood up for herself. I mean, it took until 95%, but she finally did. Honestly, Cole is what saved this book from being a DNF. I absolutely LOVED his character. And their chemistry is amazing. She does have relationships with the other 4 as well. It's just that the author did focus more on Cole bc of his past trauma with his injuries and then his fiancé leaving him after his injuries. Overall, a cute read.

I ate this book up, I loved it. I love a cozy omegaverse and I especially love a damaged alpha coming out of his shell! Cole was definitely my favorite, but I liked all the alphas, and I feel like the author did a good job distinguishing them which can be hard in a large why choose.

I also really enjoyed seeing Bella come into her own strength throughout the book and starting to speak up for herself and ask for what she wanted. This book had everything - good spice scenes, angst, obsessed alphas, and a low stress plot.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Knot like other girls

Our 21 year old omega was raised in her beta family and they have encouraged her relationship with a wealthy Alpha for the family's benefit. The alpha is an obnoxious, narcissistic, social media influencer with zero emotional depth. She is confused and just going along to make her family happy when an assassin shoots at them at her engagement party. Enter the Vanguard pack, A group of security agents hired to protect them. This is not a spicy book, but it delves into character growth and is quite sensual. Half the characters are tongue in cheek obsessed with likes and internet hits, but the story is the other group. Well written and edited, but very long so relax and enjoy the ride.

Loved Bella!

I gobble up every book by this author and this one was no different. Bella is in an arrangement, that will lead to marriage, but not someone she would have chosen. Her parents are really the only ones who are benefiting from it. She's from a family of betas and hasn't been taught much about omegas, which is why she doesn't know she's found her scent matches. She's accepting of all of them and they're patient with her and when they come together, it's fireworks. The drama dies down for a bit, but ramps up at the end for the grand finale and ends in an HEA. I can't wait for the next!

I love all of Harper Lennoxs books. But this one was just plain adorable. I loved the Alphas. I loved watching them try to navigate their feelings for her while being respectful about her "relationship." I adored Cole and Troy. I loved that this one wasn't the same as the others (nothing wrong with the others). And i can't wait to read her next book.

This was an enjoyable read. While I do think the leads opinions of the pack was a little too quick, It was still fun to read. I wish there was longer time spent on the drama. Kind of felt like it was just wrapped up at the end to get it over with. Definitely wish her family didn’t get a happy ending too.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

DNF: 4%

It's so early in the book to DNF and for this to be listed as a spoiler but...

I'm not liking the vibe here. I don't like that she's being pressured to marry an influencer asshole because her family is in debt. 😖

Reverse harem omegaverse with bite, heart, and a whole lotta heat.
Forget the fake fiancé and say hello to five alphas who actually respect boundaries and make emotional support sexy.

Our omega Bella is done playing the good girl in a golden cage and watching her fall for a pack that sees her worth? It's a perfect masterpiece!

Spicy, swoony, and surprisingly empowering, this is not your average knot story. It's Knot Like Other Girls, and thank the romance gods for that.

So many pages, so little substance

This book is over 500 pages long and ultimately has enough substance for maybe 200 pages. With the exception of Cole, who is my favorite, the main characters have background details accounting to a puddle, leaving them likeable but not convincing me to love them. The story is weak with tons of details that add nothing to the story. The synopsis doesn't even quite match the actual book.

Bella was previously self sufficient, I think, based on the fact she had a job and apartment of her own. There is very little world building beyond the immediate social circle in her sphere so we do not know if her experience is truly common or just high society common with rare low society social climbing. I can't tell if she is a doormat, which I suspect the author has given us, or truly stifled by a horrific society. Skye (good female friendship example, kudos to the author on her!) and the ease with which Bella changes her course late in the book leads me to believe Bella is just an idiot doormat.

The MMCs are all likeable but they feel like forced caricatures instead of true focal characters. The entire section devoted to their time in Sicily is just useless, boring, and detracts from the main storyline.

The antagonist storyline is trash. The author had the chance to write something truly exciting or surprising and gave us throw away fluff and melodramatics instead. The sister plot thread is also useless trash. Braxley's potential redemption arc is garbage and thrown away as well. Literally anything that could add interest and depth to the story is wasted.

But what isn't wasted is the opportunity to devoted pages to messy absurd details. Dressing up a nest? Here's some loose fabric yards so you can have lovely frayed edges driving you nuts. Flying under the radar after making promises to Braxley? Yeah you should definitely have in depth discussions with strangers about your plans to sleep with a team of guys and prance around town flirting with them too! That won't be slipped into social media by anyone in town at all. Don't forget to announce his secrets at HIS OWN GALA, because that doesn't make you a terrible person for breaking his trust. I should not be holding a grudge against the FMC at the end of the book! So much just doesn't work and the result is an unimpressive long book.

A generous 2.5… wow this book was boring. I loved the first two books in this series, so I thought this one had a lot of potential but nothing happened? By 50% I really just wanted to skim to finish it. I usually judge an omegaverse by the ability of the author to make each member of the pack distinct, and while they did all stand out to me individually, jesus christ did I get tired of mopey angry Cole (and I usually love the quiet, brooding man). I don’t know why we needed five alphas when one was the star of the show. Somehow the “leader” was the least interesting/involved, the only time he spoke was issuing orders it seemed. The guys all had multiple long internal monologues about the war and trauma and military and security and blah blah blah. By how much we got I should’ve cared about them a lot more but it was all so surface level, idk. Also, for some reason they all still needed to work yet had a private jet, a house in the mountains (that was first described as beach front) and security out the ass (again, for what reason?)

I can usually get behind any fmc no matter their character but this girl was a limp noodle. Majority of the book is her internal monologue (lots and lots of monologues) about not being happy in her life and then proceeding to give zero good reasons as to why she shouldn’t stand up for herself. I also never really saw her relationship/feelings for the guys develop?? I think it goes back to her limp noodleness..

As for the development of the pack’s relationships, forced proximity bodyguards is usually my bread and butter but again, nothing happens?? I respect the guys not pursuing her a when they were working for her bf (the single most annoying character I have ever been forced to read and he was around until 43%) but dang there wasn’t even any flirting?! I really didn’t see how these people’s relationships developed besides being scent matches (and that’s usually all I need I love it so much) there was no obsession or anything like that. Honestly, too much respect was shown lol

Nothing actually happened, all that build up and nothing.... it started off like it was actually going to have some good plot in there but nope, nothing.

Don't even get me started on the MMC's, yes multiple as it's OV but I think the author forgot that there were more MMC's than Cole. It became purely about Cole with the FMC's focus always being him, if she was asked who she wanted with her it was always him, the others never got a look in.

I skipped pretty much from 60% when I realised it was all about Cole and the author wasn't building any kind of relationship with the other MMC's. I kept skimming because I thought the plot might come in. It didn't.

I loved this book. While the spice wasn't as prominent here as in other omegaverse, the diversity and background really makes you feel each character. While some had more time to shine; Cole, Bella, and Troy,(sadly Braxley and his narcissism) we still get the background, the love, and the subtleties from the others. It made this book feel so real, you can feel everything because you are introduced and guided throught their lives so perfectly that them as people feel real. Although I wish we had more textural descriptive imagery. Like Cole has scars (all the way down) and the others likely have lesser scars themselves, and I know that when someone with scars touches you, it feels different on your skin. The different texture adds a different pleasurable friction just on soft areas like the neck and face so I can only imagine how it would feel in intimate areas that are already more sensitive. I do have some things I was curious about that were never addressed again like where Savva does come from, Skye visiting the home, and what they had to disguise themselves as other than Roman as a watercolorist. I'd also love a book about Skye meeting her pack or Alpha. I didn't like how much time features Braxley but I understand why. The threat on his life is the cause for the pack meeting Bella and it allows for the bond to develop between them. I originally thought (because I didn't remember the blurb) that the shooter at the event was going to be one of hee alphas since he didn't hurt her and had the sass when he said "Nice alpha you got there miss". I think one thing that should have been changed is that people who were at the event and witnessed Braxley running and hiding should have called him out for not being the hero he claimed he was. Ashlyn and Braxley being scent matched was unexpected but solved the issue of Bella needing to be with him to settle their debt because now her sister is and they match so much better. I'd love to see a sequel or an extension about their lives after the marking ceremony.

I devoured this book before the sun was even up. No regrets. Lovely pack of non-toxic alphas including disability rep, hilarious fake love interest, wonderful omega FMC.

Bella is stuck in an arranged mating with a rich alphahole named Braxley who is THE WORST in the most entertaining way possible. It was so much fun to hate this guy. When an assassination attempt interrupts his big proposal to Bella, his family hires the Vanguard Pack to move into the penthouse to protect them.

Savva, Liam, Roman, Cole, and Troy are a pack of ex-military alphas who work primarily as bodyguards. They're looking for a more low-key job after their previous one blows up spectacularly. They immediately realize they're Bella's scent matches, but they decide not to tell her yet because they don't want to pressure her and they think they can't provide a normal life to an omega, let alone the kind of lifestyle an omega like Bella is used to. So they get to bond and fall in love organically, without the added pressure of her knowing they're her scent matches.

Cole and Troy were my favorite alphas in the pack. Cole has scars that are bad enough his omega fiancee left him over it, and he's the pack member who is the most against telling Bella they're her scent matches. Major grumpy/sunshine vibes. Troy is a big chaotic teddy bear alpha with dadbod and is the life of the party. They're polar opposites, which might be why they were my favorites. But really, all the alphas in the pack are spectacular. Green flags all around. They were so careful about her consent during her heat, too.

What I loved most about Bella is that "not like other girls" usually means the heroine hates other women and is catty. But in this case, it's because she doesn't want the fancy influencer life she's being pushed into, which many of the betas and omegas around her are jealous of. She just wants to be seen, loved, and accepted for who she is. She's a kind-hearted and genuine person. Loved her!

Ah, this had so much potential and I wanted to love it so much...and it just didn't quite deliver.

What I did love is that it's different than the other Claimverse books....and I liked all the characters. The pack had a great dynamic, most had at least a little uniqueness and personality, and our heroine is pretty solid and assured and laid back. And I love a good bodyguard trope. And the forced proximity concept SHOULD set us up for some really meaningful chemistry building.....

But I felt like this book got lost in itself and didn't quite deliver on what I read omegaverse for- the sweet romancing, the prolonged bonding, hell, even the spice. The exposition of this felt super long (like repeated chapters from the heroes POV that yes, helped us get to know them but are long before they are matched with the heroine so it does little for romance or chemistry), one hero is basically the primary focus- and while I LOVED that part of the story it meant none of the other pack really develop much romance with our heroine (so much so that at least two of them dont even have an on page kiss I could find/remember, though there is a heat cycle). The spice (outside of the one alpha) doesn't start until like almost 70% and for some of the alphas it felt short changed, and the big overarching plot/danger resolves so quickly and ridiculously at the end.

So the pacing, story focus, and chemistry just weren't there for me, and while I loved the build up of this and thought it was gonna be so good, it just putters out and left me feeling frustrated (esp since this is a bit longer) that the actual omega-alpha bonding of this is so slow burning and then felt so unsatisfying, minus the relationship with one of the alphas.

Things I definitely did enjoy, and again the pack themselves are so great conceptually, but in the end didn't deliver for me.

Scent Matches

We start off with the most obnoxious person on the planet in a relationship with the FMC Bella. Braxley is a social media influencer who when proposing to Bella gets shot at. In the end he hires a security team and him and Bella are locked up in his Penthouse. Unfortunate for Bella in this case as well they don't sleep together, and she really tries to avoid him as much as he can. Why is she with him? Her family. But through it all she meets her scent matches, so there's an upside there.

The book spend a lot of time on Braxley and Bella of course but it also spends plenty of time learning about the new mysterious alpha's that have entered. Cole is probably my favorite, he's scarred and is definitely a alpha torn apart by rejection after he came back from the military and had countless surgeries only to have his mate leave him because he was disfigured. Now he just knows distance and rejection. Each alpha has their own story as to what lead them to where they are now and they each seem to balance each other at least. Cole and Bella have an amazing bond that blossoms throughout the story.

Why did I give this a 3? Ugh Braxley. But not just that. I also would recommend the book yes, to those looking for an omegaverse that isn't JUST smut. But it's not going to be the top of my recommendation list. It's not a bad book, and it's worth to me at least reading once, I just have no intentions on coming back to this one for a re-read.

I was hoping for a smuttier omegaverse before diving into a fade to black book but there wasn't a LOT of action in this but that's also due to her being with Braxley a large chunk of the time.

This book was unexpected, not at all in the ways that I imagined it would be… I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This was a really slow burn. It stepped away from what I'm used to reading when it comes to pack mentality and scent matches. Because of that, it felt less like a book about a pack finding their omega, and more of a broken reverse harem. I won't lie; I was really disappointed about that. The whole point of scent matches/fated mates is more love at first sight, true love. This wasn't that, although she was scent matched to the whole pack, Bella sought out the connection with one specific alpha repeatedly to my frustration. At first, I had no issues with it because Cole had more trust issues so in order for them all to be together, he needed to feel like he belonged with her too. But it became overwhelming that he was her sole focus. And while she's not obligated to give herself to the others, it makes the whole scented mate bond to the other four in the pack seem invalid, laughable even. It got to the point where I felt sorry for the other alphas. Bella fell in love with Cole and settled for the others who are clearly more emotionally invested with her. It definitely came off as one sided, the other alphas were an afterthought and it's unfortunate because I loved their personalities and hearts, more than Bella seemed to. The story started off pretty strong with all of the action elements and the drama, but it definitely turned into a Bella and Cole love story. I really like this author after reading the first book of this series, so I'll continue to try her work… I just think that this one in particular was really focused on one MMC.

This is the third book in the Claimverse series, a collection of standalone contemporary omegaverse stories. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own.

Tropes and themes include:
✨Why choose (mfmmmmm)

✨Bodyguards
✨Social media influencer (not a MC)
✨Ex-military
✨Knotting/nesting
✨People-pleaser FMC
✨Hairwashing
✨”Breath with me”

Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames

Nickname: Lass, Little dove, Princess

The Lovely: I loved the FMC and the journey of learning to stand up for herself she went on. Do so long she’s done what everyone expected of her because she felt like she had to, even though it made her miserable. And, I loved how the pack of bodyguards supported her on that journey without forcing or pushing her.

The Mundane: While I deeply loved Cole, and his story, it felt like this book was 80% about him and his relationship with the FMC, with the other pack members sharing the remaining 20%. I would have liked to have seen the FMC spend more time with (even just talking with) the other four MMCs because it didn’t feel like she developed much of a connection with them.

Recommendation: Historically books in this series have been heavier on the angst/hurt/comfort vibes so this book felt quite different. If anything, the hurt/comfort was aimed more at one of the MMCs rather than the FMC. So while I missed the angst, I liked the switch up. If you want a note quite dark but not quite sweet omegaverse with a protective pack, I think you would like this book.

This could've been perfect. The writing is decent and most of the pacing is way better than other omegaverse stories. The story revolves around an omega who is in an arranged relationship she doesn't actually want, scent matches to the pack that is hired to protect her and her fiance after an attack. The problem is that the plot went out the window the moment she leaves her fiance.

From the start, Bella's POV is weirdly focussed on just one of the alphas. Cole is scarred and broken, which clearly makes him the favourite. Every time she does something without the whole pack, she chooses Cole to accompany her so he doesn't feel left out. The means that the rest of the pack is left out quite often. We don't learn anything about the other pack members from the chapters that are Bella's POV. It feels like the pack are just back up dancers to Cole's performance. Like the author wanted to write an omegaverse reverse harem but actually prefers MF stories.

The pack consists of:

Broken and Scarred Cole

Strict leader Roman

Elegant suit wearing guy Savva

Golden retriever who eats all the time Troy

The other guy Liam

Liam doesn't even have a stereotypical RH role, he's just there. At 90% of the story Bella finally asks about him, Savva and Roman, the first time she even shows any interest in them.

The relationships were just way of balance which knocked something that could've been a solid read.

Bella is forced to marry Braxley, a spoiled, childish, vain Alpha, for her parents to gain wealth and standing in society. When a shot is fired at Braxley during their engagement party, a security firm is hired to keep them safe, 5 very hot Alphas.

This book is fantastic, well written, detailed, and so much fun to read.

I love the dynamic and bond between Bella and Skye's best friends, chosen sisters who have each other's back, and I must admit I'd love to read Skye's book.

The pack, Roman, Troy, Cole, Liam and Savva are all a little scarred and wary, but the way they are there for each other was beautiful to see, and while difficult to pick a favourite, Cole had to be in the top spot.  He is such an amazing character that brings more depth to the story, his past, his pain drew me in from the start and seeing him let his walls down was truly awe-inspiring.  It's especially cute and adorable how the pack gets all awkward and shy around each other as they navigate the new territory of having an Omega with them.

I also love the sense of humour written throughout the book, especially the inner monologue the pack has in regards to Braxley, such as " I can practically see the single brain cell bouncing around in his skull like a DVD screensaver".

Shout out to the amazing and extra details in this book regarding nesting.  I've never read an omegaverse that has such in-depth descriptions of all the stages of nesting, along with the extra little touches that might be needed.

I absolutely loved this book, and it has become one of my favourites.

Damn. This book wrecked me.

Bella's journey from trophy omega to a woman who claims her power hit hard. Her fiancé Braxley is the worst kind of narcissist. I've dated that guy. The alphas of the Vanguard Pack are his polar opposites in every way. They truly see Bella in a way nobody has before. They notice her artistic talent, her kindness, and her strength. Their bond feels earned, especially given Bella's history of being controlled and diminished.

What really got me was how the pack dynamics felt lived-in. These men have history. They bicker, they have inside jokes, they know each other's trauma. When they all fall for Bella, it feels like she's joining something real, not just a fantasy harem. Each alpha feels like a real person. Love, love, love the found family vibes.

In books like these, I usually end up stressed out by the forced relationship, but Braxley is basically Jean-Ralphio from Parks and Recreation and more fun to hate than anything. It is too funny that anyone thinks he's supposed to be a love interest. It's safe to hate him! He gets dumped and it's glorious.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review. 💐

This book was an ARC read and I hate that this series is over.

Book Review: Knot Like Other Girls by Harper Lennox
🌶️ Spice Level: 2/5 Peppers
🫶 Tropes: Omegaverse, Friends to Lovers, Found FamilyHarper Lennox

✨ After reading the first two books in this series, I can confidently say Harper Lennox has carefully crafted a world that pulls you in, wrapping you in the warmth, complexity, and tenderness of her Omegaverse. This third installment is no exception.

This isn’t a fast-paced love story—it’s a story of becoming: becoming the person you were always meant to be, even when others can’t see past their own preconceived views. The characters in Knot Like Other Girls are deeply layered, imperfect, and searching. Their journey feels incredibly human, even in a world with its own unique dynamics.

💭 The romance is soft and slow-burning, with a quiet intimacy that lingers long after the last page. The spice is subtle—2/5 peppers—but perfectly placed and emotionally meaningful.

🔍 While the pacing may feel slow in parts, that’s part of what makes this book so immersive. It’s not just about romantic love, but self-acceptance, queer identity, and emotional growth.

✅ Would recommend if you enjoy:

Subtle, emotionally rich storytelling
Stories where the character arc shines as much as the romance
⭐️ Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars

Hook:
“Knot Like Other Girls” took me from “I’m just gonna read one chapter” to “I need a cold shower and a therapy session” in 0.5 seconds.

Summary:
Book 3 in the Claimverse turns the intensity up to eleven. We follow an omega who refuses to play by the rules of her designation—and the alphas who aren’t ready for what she brings to the table. Think defiance, found family, identity, and a lot of knotty tension.

What I Loved:

The main character’s refusal to conform? YES. More rebellious omegas, please.
The emotional weight behind the spicy scenes—they weren’t just hot, they meant something.
The Claimverse lore continues to be rich and deep without overwhelming the romance.
The dynamic between the pack members? Complex, messy, and so real.

What Didn’t Work For Me:

Some pacing dips in the middle—there were moments I wanted more action or forward movement.
A couple characters deserved a bit more screen time (but maybe that’s just me being greedy).

Final Thoughts:
If you love omegaverse with bite—both literal and emotional—this book is for you. It’s about reclaiming identity, rewriting the rules, and still getting tied up in all the best ways 🐾

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book had huge potential but was a let down to me. Bella had the potential to be a great FMC, she had the emotion, the life that made you feel for her.

That being said, for a reverse harem, this felt more like a M/F romance with some other close guy friends thrown in for spice. Bella and Cole made for a great couple. Because that's what it felt like. You see her relationship with Cole develop and fall in love with him, but it felt like all the other guys were put on a back burner and then forgotten to burn. It really didn't feel like a reverse harem. In fact, I felt like it was supposed to be Bella/Cole and Savva/Troy with Roman thrown in as their good friend for funsies. It didn't feel like a reverse harem at all.

First, while common for these types of books, it felt like Bella's friends outside of the Vanguard pack got pushed aside. In the beginning you get Skye in text messages and she even appears on-screen. But as the book continues, it's like her character just disappears. Poof, gone.

The conclusion to Braxley and Bella's relationship was anti-climactic (especially with all the shit he did) and while the shooter arc started off strong, it ended with barely a whimper.

It had potential. But it really didn't deliver on that potential in my opinion.
