Pure dialogue, still little object or scenery description.

Their religion is barely but constantly present, usually winked at as a support system.

A few familiar conversations, and the present practical arrangements to fulfill their always critical next steps.

Two interesting facts: Many leading characters do far are comfortable with their religion, so much that they find a few linked facts comical.

Duncan Idaho comes back to life, in a sense but he doesn't really remember who he was, which becomes a new aim.

On the next chapter, sexual scenes are narrated not as erotica but as a description of the sexual arrangement of the female ruler.

Then at the beginning of the next chapter, through dialogue, a man who was considered wealthy, with two wives, joined the present jihad to discover what was unphantomable to him: the sea. Describing his longing by comparing every day items or sceneries with a seemingly impossible end.

The saga continues. A few aspects of sex related to reproduction, or the lack of it. The plot unfolds as the now friendly two seemingly previous enemies dialogue.

Herbert seems to philosophy of the novel's themed human theories after brief dialogue. The chapter ends here.

As romanticized as the hero has been, as much as a blockbusters they star, the author warns against them in dialogue.

I understand that not as enemies, but just not as rulers. So, the misunderstood saga begins...

In the Mary Magdalene chapter, I found insinuations about the character by the ones present, except Jesus.

His take on her sins after repentance is freeing, saying that all other's judgment doesn't exist and she should respond to her conscience.

Finally, there's a nice relationship between Jesus (who mysteriously separates from the father) and Mary, who seems at peace and contempt (in this case, really happy)

Interesting fictional historic facts:

-Jesus growing up was genius in his life as a religious Jewish.

- He painted three watercolors: Joseph, Mary & an illuminated clouded sky he saw in dreams (if my short-term memory doesn't fail)

(Advancing one chapter at a time is a short read)

Dune's religious influences results are a clear example of syncretism.

World building through the appendix can make the visual adaptations close to the book, for once.

The author's life & career is admirable. He drew from countless experiences for his self-contained world building, and he met The Alan Watts.

I'm just a few pages from finishing the book:
It seems there's a continuation as they arrive to the Spice planet.

Phrase: Perfectly organized research produces nothing new.

The Appendix shows an earth-like desert ecosystem. It makes sense a deep understanding of applied geology for their campaigns, and survival. An intro to religion shows the author took earth names, only to give them a whole different meaning.

Being close to finish the plot chapters of the book (I checked in advance, which is a recommended reading tip for non-fiction books, else it is an insider peek)

Saying the novel's world is a solid empire is an understatement (I found out through monologue) where the rulers have the best of both worlds: Ancient knowledge, and the will to conquer even further.

The scene is crude, the action is fast.

Extra comments:

Paul shows a decisive leadership style. He says some arcane phrases (perhaps as a memory sting, perhaps as an insider understanding in their world) , but his behavior seems congruent.

The girl seems to be a secondary character, so far.

(With just one hundred pages left on my digital document version) I'm really happy, and wish the book never ended, even if I get to read some time, every so often.

I'm truly eager to upload Dune to an AI with a prompt very close to: Give me the ordered facts of the novel from the very beginning, whether by summarizing a part or providing a chronology-like sentence.

Also: List out of the ordinary dialogues or monologues such as those that aren't transactional. Maybe I can improve these prompts through AI.

Many action scenes just happened since the last update.

A great chapter introducing bulk operations (so your documents repository is productive): Tags, labels.
Also the extremely useful add-ons.

Truly, although increasingly ubiquitous in development, AI is not a panacea, and the front-face of consumer software sometimes do simple things fantastically.

I'm picturing a sort of Admin through Linux style file handling. With a few scripts for automation (no SAAS)

What happened with Catholicism by the naythinkers who opposed to it? Their very prideful professions that keep their hands clean were a "dark ages" invention. Also the shame of utter failure to keep the good inside the very womb of the Church, and it's shame.

A historical take on Judas, except it includes the events that zeroed in our calendar, and a peek into the unseen.

So far the book has been technical: Developing Drive's benefits, use cases, thorough instructions using the latest features, UX improvements and uncovering Drive as a platform itself (for example, thinking of it as a unique warehouse where not only your documents live, but also a place where you can receive deliverables - As a student, the role of a manager, teacher, project lead, etc.) An enlightening ecosystem.
