A twin perished, and the possessed was found.
New, fast-faced intrigues unfold inside the world of Dune.

I'll try to measure of many pages I read in half an hour. They are great conversation starters. You can say it goes way beyond entertainment to quantify the self.

A few pages before reading half the book. Today it took me way too long to check my GoodReads profile to see what page I'm reading.

The twins are on an adventure while lost. An adventure fighting a tiger with a poisoned weapon unfolds.

The priest's part of the plot ends with him dying.
Jessica's children are missing thought to be at the desert.
Jesica remember her mother's teachings.

My thoughts: Is the action getting more fluid, developed into its own world and less scientific (in a political science sense? )

End of Chapter 2 assures that to be great a sales it's only critical getting better by learning and acquiring sales knowledge.

Chapter 3 begins by telling that lofty goal setting doesn't exactly lives to its hype.

Also, focus on leading indicators is much more powerful than lagging indicators. (# of prospects to call vs closed deals)

Me: Just acknowledge primarily the lagging indicators with your sales manager.

A suspicious relative, the logical uselessness of The Guild.

Idaho, as a mentat, ponders the political relationship of CHOAM, house Corrino or other group.

The Priest's doings are quietly present among a few of the attendees.

Jessica and Alia's public court life is described. Jessica's thoughts are shown, while a plot unravels.

Me: How many science fiction authors have inspired from such paralell dynamics?

Mystery surrounds The Preacher.

Alia and Duncan speak as she plans to abduct her mother.

Idaho as a mentat (human computer) plans to carry her wishes his own way. He believes her psychic state is abomination, which is dangerous.

The author is building suspense, which can only be solved through climax.

Latest scene, so far:

Alia is well aware, and secure in her ability to do.
The preacher is a popular figure that may cause power struggles.

Me:

The name Dune itself is a reminder of the origins of large religions (perhaps with the exception of Buddhism - Giving syncretism a large blow)

The desert is a common theme, perhaps keeping the effervescence of their mystic realities grounded to a physical symbol.

3 male characters discuss social goals, and the nature of power.

Truth is, it's interesting from the viewpoint of political science. Remember Plato, the Republic?
Isn't the subject a core theme in world building?

The last 20 pages: A case of a possession dynamic, punished by death, evolves under the reader's eyes.

Assan Tariq becomes a man through a rite of passage. Leto and Ganima follow their own ritual.

Me: Each scene follows a different and sometimes deep relationship between concepts that are explored throughout a myriad of main themes.

Notas:

Alia exposes power as dangerous.

Jessica: Love or duty?

Lastly the short story of Alia and Paymon (Hint: Paymon betrays someone)

The character's spoken art shows:

Haiku style phrases, then descriptions of the latest discoveries in natural technology:
Forests over generational dunes.
Elegies to natural water fountains on foreign planets.

Descriptions of their proverbial bodysuits, created to make every drop of water count.

The ancient embodied, and admired, image of the preacher appeared, this time with pragmatic ends.

Reading at ease, the book I feel it as it's intended to be read, taken as a narration.

Nothwidstanding, thinking about the minutiae is also reawarding, in a sense.

The author presents the origins of characters way before they were born. Inside the book, acquaintances are being made, so far.

Notes:

There's no correlation between guru stories and sales success.

In America, you can't copy how a sales star or superstar made their way, since their circumstances are unique.

Salesmanship cannot be taught by a book.

Me: This is a notable, current thought provoking book.

Scytale, a character threatens Paul with a knife, demanding all CHOAM holdings, Paul swiftly ended the scene with a swift move.

Finally Paul, Duncan, and Stilgar are roaming, being Duncan's relationship with Paul now not as an adult tutor, but as a contemporary companion.

After a brief Epilogue-poem the book ends on page 230.

Chani, carrying Paul's twins, is his confident. Paul's diatribe is now about despotism.

Then, a day of empire management is shown until the chapter ends, not without uncovering about Dune's geography and relationships.

Conversation between the "new" Duncan Idaho & a Dwarf. They talk about feats coupled with Duncan's future. (Then nascent's cryogenics are mentioned)

Duncan's future's predicted ambiguously.

The streets seemed nothing less than a carnival. Then a dream-like vision. Otheym and Lichna take part in the conversation.

Page 168, the emperor summarizes the why of many legalism on a quote.

There are Muad'dib songs. Finally, morning scene between Chani and Paul. (Only 55 pg left)

I haphazardly read these last pages the last few days. I remember dialogue at first where Paul was speaking his mind, finally Chani takes the scenario, by being the subject of the conversation.

After uploading the document with the AI, it tells me these last pages are all about Paul, the empire, his decisions... But I believe there's much else going on on a personal level.
