The Trial is a strange book. Having just finished it, I cannot claim to have understood it. The simplest reading would be to take it as a mirthless mockery of tyranny, injustice and the many farces that have happened in the world. It rather seems as though there should be more to it than that, though it is hard to say what. Then again, I have never been much of a fan of intentional ambiguity.

This book is an excellent introduction for F#. It starts basic, builds up, and eventually explains many of the more sophisticated concepts. For the scope it covers, the book is also very lean.
