Not talking about violence and sexuality at a young age can lead to children getting ideas into them which whilst useful in interacting/winning the world around them right now would be harmful later. eg: watching a romance movie, believing that’s how it goes, getting results in school, positive feedback loop establish and suffering from it later IRL.

Was it worth it Deng? To fraternize and forget? I know it's irrational and that we need to take the bigger picture in account but how does someone do that after a horror like this?
I know that to obsess over this is to make more terrors, more vengeance in the future but how do you let it go unpunished, unheard, unclaimed?
I am weak in this regard. If it was left to people like current me, the world would burn.

How much are you willing to forget? How far are you willing to stare at the abyss and not come out empty yourself?

A man I look up to once said that indifference is far worse than demonisation and the real kind of evil. Demonisation is irrational by nature, we know we’re practising extreme partisanship. Indifference is knowing what’s happening and not caring about or doing it regardless (the “good soldiers follow orders” mindset)
